In recognition of Earth Day on April 19 Earth Passengers and the
Permaculture Practitioners group, along with the National Taiwan Museum,
Environmental Information Association, and the Forestry Dept. under the
Council of Agriculture, organized a one-day series of workshops and
presentations on sustainable living and food production technologies for
urban environments. Talks and demonstrations were given on
cultivating edible landscapes in urban areas, making seed balls,
composting, and rainwater harvesting. A tour of a nearby rooftop
eco-garden was also scheduled.
