Le Panthéon
The Panthéon, "temple to all the gods" in the Latin Quarter was originally built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve and to house the reliquary châsse containing her relics but, after many changes, now functions as a secular mausoleum containing the remains of distinguished French citizens. The façade is modeled on the Pantheon in Rome.
Le Jardin du Musée de Cluny
Built in 2000, the Medieval garden is inspired from collections of the Museum of the Middle Ages and offers throughout 5000 m² a succession of spaces evoking nature in medieval times. Some terraces have also been recreated through research done on the famous tapestries of The Lady with the Unicorn exhibited in the museum.
Notre-Dame
Notre-Dame de Paris, "Our Lady of Paris" is a medieval Catholic cathedral on the Île de la Cité. It is the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, and is among the largest and most well-known church buildings in the world. The naturalism of its sculptures and stained glass are in contrast with earlier Romanesque architecture.
