First half of the annual round-trip HuaLien 花連 to TaiTung 台東 (down via the coastal No. 11 highway) challenge ride 環花東365超級挑戰 on Saturday. 184 km ride with Bruce.
On the second day of the challenge ride, instead of returning north to Hualian 花蓮 on Highway 9 in the eastern rift valley into rain, we go up the Nanheng 南橫. 108 km ride with Bruce from Guanshan 關山 up the Southern Cross-Island Highway 南橫公路 (aka Highway 20) to Liyuan 栗園.
