Avona Avenue, Glebe Tarago loaded and ready

After another glorious breakfast on the back deck with lorikeets and magpies, John and George go pick up the white Toyota Tarago we will take to Kangaroo Island at 10 AM.

Collector

We pack and leave Avona avenue at noon. John drives out through the congested Sydney suburbs. On the way to Canberra we drive by the Collector, a vast dry lake bed.

We had hoped to catch the annual Floriade festival dedicated to Canberra's spring flowers, but discovered that it had just ended. We drive downtown for dinner and spend the night in a caravan park just north of Canberra.
